D+P2 | Still Life

VALUE STUDY - FINAL COMPOSITION
Objective: Draw a charcoal still life showing value, mark making, and a successful composition.

Studio:
  1. Practice drawing contour line and scrumble value compositions of arrangement to work out shadows, details, edges, and design choices. sample contour line studies
  2. Choose your most successful composition, add cropping if necessary, and make alight under drawing of the arrangement in pencil on final drawing paper.
  3. Shade and blend in medium values, darker values, and erase off highlights. 
  4. SCRUMBLE VALUES - PRACTICE
    CONTOUR - PRACTICE
  5. Add texture and detail.
