[2] SHATTERED DRAWING:
(a) Create a CONTOUR LINE DRAWING filling your page using a solid, bold lines. Define all DETAILS and EDGES of a 3D object of your choice drawn from life or from a photo.
(b) Draw 5-10 lines edge to edge over a sketchbook
(c) Shade inside ALL resulting broken shapes, fading from white to black, alternating corners from one shape to the next.
(d) Use a BLENDING STUMP and 6B PENCIL to show high CONTRAST.
(e) View GRADING CRITERIA and assess your work before turning in for a grade.

Studio Process:
- Use the right side of the brain to observing and recording a life size LIGHT UNDER DRAWING showing edges of form.
- Add in MIDDLE VALUES on and around form using at least 8 tones (grays).
- Create CONTRAST making the darkest areas black and lightest areas (HIGHLIGHTS) white.
- Use VALUE SCALE or finder for reference, blending stump to eliminate all pencil strokes, and an eraser to create sharp clean edges.
